The Ultimate Bird Bath with Butterfly House™

A friend of mine decided to build a bird bath out of a satellite dish. So it took us a few days to construct it properly, it was a fun process. We put our heads together and manifested the Bird Bath and Butterfly House.

3-Tier Bird Bath / Water Fountain by Gardman = Save Up Money & Get Something Better

Would I recommend this? No, because the water splashes out of the dish too much, eventually draining most of the water and stops pumping to the top. (Update 3) Update 4: I’ve discovered that if you take the top off it doesn’t splash out as much. Update 1: One thing I want to add to this, the water that shoots out of the top hits the other water in the three dishes and eventually the water accumulates outside and around the fountain structure enough to where the water starts to get low and the fountain will not have enough/much water to continue pumping it to the top. I may try to adjust the top to where not much, if any, water shoots in the air and it just slides down the top dome. I’ll let you know if I can do that. And, BTW, the more water you put in it, the higher it will shoot up, apparently. Update 2: The large bottom dome resting on the main dish I’ve noticed is pretty tight and doesn’t allow a lot of water in to the pump area under the dome, which causes it to eventually stop pumping water up to the top. I lifted this dome for about 10 seconds and it really helped the flow of water to the pump and up the top. What I might do is cut a small opening in the bottom of the dome or just wedge something thin under it. Loosening the top dome slightly might help also, but you don’t want it makes the top (third) dish it’s tightened against too loose where it’s wobbly, etc. Also filling the water to the max would help flow. www.evansbirds.blogspot.com Keywords 3-Tier Three
